THE RIGHT APPROACH FOR YOUR PROPERTY

Less fuel.
More defensible space.

Interrupt ladder fuels

Low limbs and vegetation beneath trees can connect ground fuels to the canopy. OFS can assess pruning and vegetation management as part of a property-specific fuel-reduction plan.

Address accumulated vegetation

Dry brush, dead vegetation and unwanted growth can add to a property’s fuel load. Discuss what needs clearing, what should be retained and how the material will be handled.

Start with the property

Slope, access, trees and nearby structures all matter. An on-site estimate helps define practical work for your land. Fuel reduction helps manage risk; it does not make a property fireproof.

A COMMON QUESTION

Will this make my property fireproof?

It will not make your property fireproof, but it can help lower wildfire risk. Removing excess brush, dead vegetation and low branches reduces the fuel available to a fire and helps create defensible space. Vegetation management is one part of wildfire preparedness. OFS can discuss its tree and clearing services; Oregon State Fire Marshal guidance explains broader defensible-space measures.
